My stay at Regency Hotel was quite the experience. The location is fantastic, just a stone's throw from the pier, but the condition of the room left much to be desired. I found significant issues with cleanliness and maintenance that definitely put a damper on my visit.

Rooms
5.0
My room was smaller than I expected, with a weird layout and a bathroom that needed a serious deep clean. The shower had a buildup of limestone, and I wasn't comfortable using it. The bed was comfy, but that's about where the positives ended.
Service
5.0
The service was friendly when I arrived, but I felt like I was left to fend for myself afterward. There wasn't much staff around to assist with questions or concerns, which was a bit strange.
Location
8.0
The hotel is super close to the seafront and only a short walk from the pier, restaurants, and shops. The crashing waves were a nice touch, making the location a highlight of my stay.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited, and I only had two slices of toast over two days. I get it, the area has a lot of options nearby; still, I was hoping for more in-house choices.
Facilities
5.0
There were a lot of maintenance issues; no safety measures with open windows, and the overall vibe felt a bit neglected. I could tell it needed some TLC, from the decor to the facilities.

6.8/10

I spent three nights at Regency Hotel, and while I appreciated the comfortable bed and the gorgeous sea view, the hotel had some significant drawbacks. The building works made my arrival chaotic, and the interior felt neglected with several maintenance issues that couldn’t be overlooked. Overall, it was an interesting stay, but not one I'd rush to repeat.

Rooms
5.0
The Compact Double Room with Seaview was comfortable but had issues. The bathroom was dirty and the room had a smokey smell. The small TV and loose light fittings added to the need for attention.
Service
5.0
There was a lack of staff presence during my stay. I felt somewhat isolated, as there was no one to assist with questions or concerns. Even my late check-out experience was less than ideal with no staff around.
Location
7.0
The location was great, a short walk from the seafront and all that Brighton has to offer. I loved the glorious view from my room, but it was a bit of a trek from the nearest train station.
Dining
5.0
I didn't dine at the hotel, but I noticed options for breakfast seemed a bit steep in cost. Overall, it felt like dining wouldn't have added much value during my stay.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities left much to be desired. The lack of mobility access and the steep 50+ stairs were challenging, especially since I had to carry my luggage without assistance.

7.2/10

I just completed an 8-night stay at Regency Hotel, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The location was perfect, right on the seafront with a stunning view from my room. However, I did have some minor complaints regarding the bed comfort and the absence of a lift, which made navigating the stairs a bit of a hassle.

Rooms
8.0
I stayed in a Compact Double Room with a seaview, which offered a fantastic view. While the room was small at times, it oozed character, and the large comfortable bed wasn’t unpleasant despite my initial discomfort.
Service
9.0
The staff was friendly and very helpful throughout my stay. They even assisted me with my luggage, which made the experience that much better.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is unbeatable, right by the beach and surrounded by a variety of shops and restaurants. It made exploring Brighton incredibly easy.
Dining
7.0
I didn't opt for breakfast as it started a bit too late for my schedule. However, the dining options nearby were plentiful and easily accessible.
Facilities
7.0
While the bathroom could use some updating, and I faced some minor issues with the curtains, I didn't find these aspects detrimental to my stay, given the overall charm of the hotel.

7.0/10

My stay at the Regency Hotel in Brighton was a mix of highs and lows. The location is superb, nestled close to the seafront and the lively center, which made it easy for me to explore. However, my arrival was quite frustrating due to issues with the entry code and lack of communication. While I appreciated the polite service I received, there were some drawbacks, particularly with the condition of my room.

Rooms
5.0
The Superior Double Room with Balcony and Seaview I booked was spacious, but it did have a persistent damp smell. The bathroom was a bit tiny, which was a letdown. Additionally, the windows seemed in disrepair, and the noise from seagulls was bothersome in the mornings.
Service
8.0
The service was incredibly polite and helpful, especially the lady who assisted me when I arrived. They went out of their way to address my needs, which I truly appreciated.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach and away from the noisy seafront hotels, making it a peaceful spot to unwind.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was decent for a budget option, but I expected more for the price. It was a bit unclear about the hot food and the extra charges on top of the breakfast fee.
Facilities
6.0
The lack of a lift was a minor inconvenience, especially after a long day. But the quiet atmosphere made up for it, as I enjoyed my downtime.

5.6/10

My stay at the Regency Hotel was quite disappointing. While the location was fantastic, being close to the seafront and Brighton Centre, I faced significant issues with the cleanliness and overall condition of my room. Unfortunately, these factors overshadowed the positive aspects.

Rooms
5.0
The King Size Double Room was not well-maintained. The bathroom had a buildup of limestone and was noticeably dirty. I was also concerned about the security of the windows, which felt inadequate.
Service
5.0
On arrival, the staff did their best to be accommodating, even contacting me early to prepare for an early check-in. However, issues arose with accessing my room due to incorrect codes and no response from the emergency contact.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location is excellent, with lovely views and close proximity to restaurants and attractions. This was definitely a bright spot during my stay.
Dining
5.0
I found the breakfast options to be reasonably priced, but combined with the high cost of the room, it felt like an extra expense I wasn't prepared for.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities unfortunately left much to be desired. The overall condition of the hotel feels outdated and in need of several upgrades to make it more appealing and comfortable.
